Stocked Aluminum Stairs for ADA and IBC Projects
Fabrication queues, revised submittals and a riser height that never quite matches the finished landing all delay your install date. The Latitude removes those challenges. It’s a prefabricated stair system held in inventory across a range of standard heights, engineered for ADA stairs and IBC compliant stairs applications, available to ship as soon as your drawings are signed off.
Contractors, architects and facility managers specify it anywhere a fast, reliable stair solution is needed.
A SYSTEM THAT FITS YOUR SITE
Modular Stairs with Fabrication Delays
Most commercial metal stairs are drawn, quoted, then made. The Latitude is a modular stairs system built from heavy-duty aluminum stairs components and stocked ahead of demand, so standard configurations are already sitting on a shelf when you specify them. Heights outside the standard range are fabricated to your dimensions. Every unit is sized to pair with National Ramp platform sizes, which means the stair, landing and ramp can be ordered together and arrive as one coordinated assembly from a single supplier.

Key Benefits: Why Contractors & Architects Specify the Latitude Stair
Specification comes down to four things: the code path, the ground conditions, the program and how the stair meets everything else on the access route. These prefab stairs are designed against all four.
Stocked from 14 inches to 63 inches: Standard heights leave inventory rather than entering a fabrication queue.
Install day is one day: Everything needed for the run arrives together and assembles in one visit.
Tolerant of real site conditions: Legs, posts and handrails adjust through a working range, absorbing grade variance and elevation drift that turn up between survey and pour.
Sized to our platform range: Latitude stairs connect directly to National Ramp standard platform sizes of 4’7”, 5’5”, 6’3” and 7’3”. Ramp, platform and stair go in as one integrated system.
Custom heights above 63 inches: Anything beyond the stocked range is fabricated to your specification without impacting assembly.
Guards and handrails to ADA & IBC spec: 42” guards with a 1¼” architectural grasping surface in Schedule 40. Secondary internal rails are available where the specification calls for them. Find more details here on ADA and IBC requirements.
Low maintenance: Heavy-duty aluminum stays sound in wet and coastal conditions with no repainting, sealing or protective coating required across service life.
Manufactured in the USA: Components are fabricated domestically in heavy-duty aluminum, shortening the distance between order and delivery and keeping purchases clear of import cost movement.
One partner from quote to completion: National Ramp handles design, engineering, delivery and installation in house.
Where the Latitude Stair is Specified
The Latitude covers both ADA stairs and IBC compliant stairs applications, and a significant proportion of projects require both at once.
ADA applications
Schools and universities, hospitals and healthcare facilities, retail and commercial buildings, government and municipal buildings, courthouses, office buildings, multifamily housing, hotels, airports, stadiums, warehouses and factories, loading docks with public access, modular and portable buildings, elevated walkways and bridges.
IBC applications
New commercial construction, renovation and addition projects, rooftop and HVAC access points, mechanical rooms, egress requirements on contractor and architect-led projects.
Where both standards apply, our team reviews the site and confirms the governing code path before a quote is issued, so your design starts from a settled position.
Not sure which standard applies to your project? See our ADA vs OSHA vs IBC Stairs guide or call us and we’ll confirm in minutes.

The Latitude is National Ramp’s prefabricated stair system for ADA and IBC applications, built from aluminum stairs components. Standard heights from 14 inches to 63 inches are held in stock, connect to our standard platform sizes and assemble on site. Heights outside that range are fabricated to specification.
Anything from 14 inches to 63 inches is stocked and ready to ship. Above 63 inches we fabricate to the dimensions your drawings call for.
Yes. The system is engineered to ADA stairs requirements, with 42″ guards and a 1¼” architectural grasping surface in Schedule 40. We confirm the specific compliance requirements attached to your application before issuing a quote.
Yes. The Latitude satisfies IBC compliant stairs requirements and is specified regularly by architects and contractors on new commercial construction and renovation work.
Aluminum. Where comparable metal stairs in steel need coating, repainting and periodic inspection for corrosion, heavy-duty aluminum carries equivalent structural load with none of that upkeep and considerably less weight to handle during installation.
Either. The Latitude is dimensioned to connect straight to National Ramp platform sizes, and it installs perfectly well as a standalone run where the design does not call for a platform.
Days rather than weeks on typical scopes. The full run is delivered in one drop and erected by our own factory-trained crew, so the site is handed back quickly.
Yes. Heavy-duty aluminum doesn’t rust or corrode, requires no coating at handover and no maintenance regime afterward in coastal, wet or freeze-thaw environments alike.
